How to Get a Bronze Glow Without the Sun Damage
- Posted on: Jul 15 2019
The last thing anybody wants is to look pale during July. With everybody heading to Lake Powell to catch a tan, you don’t want to be caught looking like you’ve been hiding inside all summer. However, because laying in a tanning bed or out in the sun is only going to expose you to skin cancer and sun damage, you may be wondering how on earth you can get a similar look but without all of the risks.
If Utah isn’t short of one thing, it’s tanning salons. But, don’t go to a tanning salon to lay in a tanning bed (we would never tell you to do that). Instead, go to one of these salons to get a spray tan. Spray tans are a temporary way to get an instantly bronzier look that will develop even more over a few days. Although it can fade if you are at the swimming pool, at least it’s something that will give you that sun-kissed look without having to expose your skin.
Self Tanning Creams
Self tanning creams and lotions have come a long way in the past decade or so. Even though these over the counter products used to leave everyone looking streaky and orange, they now are formulated in a way that will give you a dewy, natural tan looking complexion without a lot of streaking. Just make sure that you read the instructions before you apply it.
Treat Your Skin
Getting at least a little bit of sun exposure during the summer is natural. No matter how much sunscreen you apply or how big of a hat you wear, you still may come out of summer with a few more freckles or sunspots than you started with. Luckily, here at our office, we have a variety of treatments including Intense Pulse Light to help target these un sots and make you look more youthful in the process.
A little bit of Vitamin D can go a long way in the summer. If you do plan on spending a lot of time outdoors, make sure that you wear a broad spectrum sunscreen, but if you do want to get a tan without the damage, then use the tips in this article.
